Professional Learning Agreement

(DUTCH SPEAKING ONLY) Are you looking for a learning workplace (LAP) where you can combine communication, research, and hands-on experience with European dossiers and projects? Would you like to create engaging social media content one day and contribute to practice-oriented research on European affairs the next — for clients such as the Municipality of The Hague? Then we are looking for you!

Please note: Dutch speaking only!

What will you be doing?

Your learning workplace (LAP) consists of a combination of tasks in communication, organisation, and research. You’ll support our team with:

Communication and events:

  • Managing and developing our social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn) and website.
  • Designing communication materials (flyers, posters, documents) using Canva or Adobe.
  • Assisting with the organisation of events, lectures, and workshops.

Practice-oriented research in collaboration with external partners (e.g. the Municipality of The Hague):

  • Contributing to knowledge projects, such as strengthening the Municipality of The Hague as an EU-aware organisation and developing a regional EU expertise network.
  • Supporting research activities: surveys, quick scans, literature reviews, and conducting and transcribing interviews.
  • Ample opportunity to align assignments with your own interests, for example by (co-)writing a research project, dissertation, or advisory report.
  • Assisting with drafting funding applications for future research projects.

What do we offer?

  • A versatile and educational placement of 32 hours per week for 40 weeks, starting in September 2025. A placement period of 20 or 60 weeks can be discussed.
  • A committed and friendly team, providing opportunities to expand your professional network.
  • Plenty of scope for initiative, ideas, and personal development.

Who are you?

  • A third- or fourth-year student with an interest in (European) politics, policy, and communication.
  • You are creative, proactive, independent, and eager to learn.
  • You write flawless Dutch and English.
  • You are confident using Canva, Adobe, Office 365, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Experience with conducting interviews is a plus, as is an affinity for project-based work or consultancy.
